Have just moved servers and can't get Announcemail configured on new server. Have set DATA directory to 777 (CH MOD) but then error message :

A file permissions error has occurred running this script.
Please check that the script and the directory that it's in are only writable by the site administrator.
If this error persists, please contact the server administrator.

Please can you advise what settings the other folders should be set to? (Inlucing the one I have the data and admin folders inside)

The error message you got is not generated by the script but by your server. There is probably some problem in server configuration.

About permissions: "data" directory should be 777, all other directories should get standard permission 755. All files should be 644 except files in the data directory, these must be 666. Please note that these permissions are recommended only, if you have a special server setting, you will need to experiment with that. I think you could try 775 or 755 for the "data" directory.

Excellent, have now got this sorted. I think it would be a good idea to all all the permissions for the other files and directories to the readme.html file in the future as it only mentions the DATA directory being set to 777.

Many thanks again
