AFP - Scientists have discovered more than 1,000 species in Southeast Asia's Greater Mekong region in the past decade, including a spider as big as a dinner plate, the World Wildlife Fund said Monday.
AFP - Militant environmentalists said they had pelted stink bombs at a Japanese whaling ship in Australian waters in their latest bid to disrupt hunting of the protected creatures.
Reuters - Environmentalists chasing a Japanese whaling fleet off Antarctica threw "stink" bombs and dye at one of the vessels, Japanese authorities and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society said.
