I think it would be great if each category could produce its own feed. It would give the visitor to share only the catagory that their interested in.

This option is available by default. You can use URL's like this:
rss.php?action=l&c=123
This one shows the newest links from the category 123.
rss.php?action=a&c=123
This one shows the newest articles from the category 123.
Similar URL's can be used also for other sections (videos etc). |

That feature works great but what I am suggesting is to have a rss icon in each catagory and depending on what catagory the person was looking at it would automaticly insert the current catagory number. (rss.php?action=v&c=123) so if I was looking at catagory 423 it would change the 123 to 423. Google already is doing this with there news and videos. Once you have search there news or videos you can click on the rss button and it puts your search or catagory into a feed.

| In the left column where are displayed rss links, it automaticaly shows there a link for the current category. For example if you are in a links category, you can see there a rss link for the that category in the box which shows rss sources for links. If you are in a videos category, you can see there a rss link for the that category in the box which shows rss sources for videos. |

Okay this is a great option that could really add a lot of visitors to your site. But it’s kind of hidden in plan site. I have been using this software for a few years and haven’t noticed it. So my next recommendation is to have the this category RSS to show up in a more noticeable place like the top of _in1.txt. I’m no coder but I have managed to get the news in this category RSS to work at the top of _in1. Please on LUG8 change this.

| I have added it to our list but this change can be added in templates, it doesn't need changes in php files. I can add it for you if you want it immediately. |
