|
|
Well I have read 10 pages of the forum but still can't find an answer.
I want on one of my sites to rotate ads of the same size and in the same place.
Maybe I will put 2 or 3 ads that rotate on each page view, and then after a while I will be able to view the stats to see which ad is performing the best.
Is this possible?
I have created the zone "website 1"
I have created t an ad 1 with the correct size etc
This is a unlimited campaign as I am running it on my own site.
Now how do I create more ads for that zone so they keep rotating on each page view?
Thanks for your help |

| You can create other ads in the zone by the same way which you used to create the first ad. It randomly selects one of the ads which are currently available. If there are multiple ads in the same zone, it shows one of them each time when the page where is the ad code is loaded. |

Hi,
My situation is exactly the same. I've only got one zone, so my advertisers can only create campaigns for that zone.
After reading and testing for a while, I've got serveral unsolved questions:
1. Have all ads rotating in the same zone the same probabilty to be shown by default?
2. If the answer to the previous question is "yes", I understand that if want to change that behaviour I have to give one of those ads "Advantage" in the admin section:
As you can see in the picture, "if an ad has an advantage, it has priority - other ads are not displayed until this ad has any impressions, clicks or days available."
So, if I'm not wrong, an Ad with priority 5 will be THE ONLY Ad showed until it has run out of clicks, impressions or days. Once that happens, Ad with priority 4 will be shown and so on, am I right?
3. What happen if two or more Ads are given the same priority? Is the probability of showing them the same?
4. As far as I've been able to see, only Admins can give Ads priority. Advertisers don't have that option, am I right?
5. As I see it, if an Ad is given a priority the Advertiser should have to pay an extra fee for the "exclusive campaign", but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to make the Advertiser pay for that service with the current Ad Manger Pro Functions, am I missing something?
6. Finally, a proposal or request: I think the "sensible" way to deal with priorities should be (at least in my case):
6.1 Create "priority" packages with a different price for each priority and with a certain frame of time (something similar to the current "days" purchase option)
6.2 Second, block priorities that have already been purchased by another advertiser while the priority purchased is active in order to avoid two different advertisers purchasing the same level of priority durime the same frame of time.
Any information about these matters will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance.
Kind regards, |

If there are multiple ads with the same advantage, it randomly shows one of them.
Only admin can set the advantage value.
Users can set their own prices when they use keywords. In this case it shows first the most expensive ads.
When there are ads with higher advantage value or higher bid price (for keywords), it still can show ads with lower values or prices. You can use the option "never show this ad in X seconds". For example you can enter to it the value 600 (10 minutes). Then for a new IP, it will always show the ad which has the highest advantage value or click price and if the same user opens another page with the ad code, it shows another ad. This can be repeated multiple times.
I have saved your suggestions, thank you for them. |

Very clarifying. Thanks so much for the info. It's not still what I'd like to, but it's a nice starting point.
